Community members, parents, and teachers can support our schools through giving, volunteering and communicating the value of public education

Whether you seek more engagement with your community or child's school, need to fulfill community service hours, or want real classroom experience,  we have an opportunity for you!

We connect high school students, business leaders, community members and parents with a wide range of PEF and PUSD projects and events. These volunteers expand our capacity to provide essential resources and enrichment opportunities to public school students in Altadena, Pasadena and Sierra Madre.

How do I volunteer?

1. Complete an on-line application here.

2. Download and read the Volunteer Handbook here.

3. Sign and return liability waivers, found in the back of the Handbook, by the first day of service.

Are you a PUSD Student and need your community service form? You can find it HERE

Possibly the BEST opportunity I have every taken...an incredibly transformative experience...the high point of my summer break...one of the best experiences of my life...I wish ordinary school was like PEF!  It is so fun and I look forward to every day.

The Pasadena Educational Foundation hosts a variety of community events throughout the year, including our annual, celebratory, Spring Gala in May.  Here we host inspirational speakers, honor our community leaders and showcase our accomplishments.  We are looking for volunteers 18+ to help us set up, mingle with guests at various information points, and host our welcome tables. This is a great opportunity to lend a hand while enjoying a dazzling evening outside with delicious food and interesting speakers and guests while learning more about what PEF has accomplished this year.
