Bridging the Gap
Public funding for education does not meet every need: that is where PEF steps in to bridge the gap. In addition to the grantwriting and operational program support that PEF provides the Pasadena Unified School District, PEF works with individual and corporate donors to raise funds to support myriad essential programs from the large to the small. From the creation of Muir High School’s Stadium 42 Baseball field to the smallest Friendship Bench, from Farm-to-School nutrition programs to school asthma nurses, from Integrated Arts Education Programs at every grade level to a violin for a 3rd grader, PEF finds a way to engage the community and bridge the funding gap to impact every student at every school every day.
Individual and corporate gifts are a crucial part of the $12 to $15 million that PEF raises for our schools each year. Fundraising efforts are guided by the priorities of the Pasadena Unified School District and our community.
