Connecting Our Community with Our Schools

Through active community engagement campaigns, activities, events, and initiatives PEF builds dynamic community connections to support the public schools of Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre. Our Principal for a Day program has seeded many partnerships and projects such as the restoration of an historic mural at McKinley, and helps increase the visibility of the myriad wonderful programs happening in our schools to the community at large. The nationally recognized Realtor Initiative provides opportunities for realtors to learn more and get further connected to our schools. We welcome other Community Ambassadors to help us spread the word.

PEF hosts a variety of community events throughout the year. Whether we are celebrating our schools, introducing inspirational speakers, honoring our community leaders, showcasing our student’s talents and accomplishments, or hosting a benefit rock concert, we are constantly finding new ways to involve our community in supporting our public schools.

You can also find us participating in community and PUSD events such as the First Choice Festival, College Opportunities Fair, Summer Opportunities Fair, Levitt Pavilion Concerts, CicLAvia, and many more. If you see us at an event, please stop by and say hello! We would love to meet you.
