Technology Needs for Students
Together we can make a difference during these challenging times.
PUSD’s response to the technological challenges of converting to distance learning has been lauded as a model of implementation. We are supporting the district’s efforts to improve connectivity, strengthen learning platforms, and provide Chromebooks and hotspots for students and families in need.
Access to technology is essential for students to engage with their teachers and peers so they can continue to learn at home.

The Pasadena Unified School District provides Chromebooks for elementary, middle, and high school students. Through its 2018 1:1 Tech Equity Initiative, PUSD middle and high school students had an opportunity to check out Chromebooks to take home. Chromebook carts were placed in elementary schools. When schools transitioned to remote learning in March 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic, PUSD elementary students were also provided with Chromebooks to take home.
