More than 35 of our School Annual Fund representatives and principals joined us to kick off this year’s Annual Fund campaigns. We welcomed back our amazing returning Annual Fund Chairs and had the opportunity to meet new ones. It was great to have the opportunity to hear from our Fund Chairs about their successes, challenges, ideas, and plans for the new school year. Our new Fund Chairs learned from what has worked at other schools in the past and we were able to collaborate on new ways to work together in the future.
We also had lots to celebrate at this year’s meeting!
In the 2017-18 school year, Annual Funds collectively raised almost $1 million for their schools. Plus, we now have 5 more schools that are either adding or activating their Annual Funds, Altadena Arts Magnet, Eliot Arts Magnet, Jefferson Elementary, Madison Elementary, and Pasadena High School. We are excited to start this new year with such a dynamic and dedicated group of volunteers. Your work for your schools makes a huge difference and PEF is proud to support your efforts.
PEF has been working to establish an annual fund on every campus within PUSD since 2011. PEF provides fundraising, accounting, and administrative support to every PUSD school’s Annual Fund. Starting this year, there are 22 annual funds in our schools. Annual Funds support such things as science lab equipment and materials, visual arts programs, Librarians, Spanish teachers, computer labs, and so much more.
