Summer Enrichment 2026 Week Four Highlights

Our 2026 Summer Enrichment Program is almost at an end. Here are some of the fun and exciting things happening this week on our Summer Enrichment campuses!

Exploration of Art

Blossoming young artists explore the fundamentals behind art!

Color, shape, form, and texture are just some of the elements of art that Megan Galeana’s students are discovering. Through projects like acrylic paintings, creating cityscapes using patterns, and 3D yarn art, students are learning about the stepping stones behind art creation.

Game Theory

We’ve all played games, but do you know the science behind them?

John Pointer and his students answer this question daily as they explore the different mechanics behind some of the most common games in the world. Students worked on their critical thinking skills through activities like discussing good board game strategies or learning the statistical math behind blackjack. Now they’re ready to make winning decisions every time!

Action Sport/Basketball Camp

The middle schoolers on our Sierra Madre Middle campus are getting their exercise this summer for sure!

Healthy bodies, healthy minds, and healthy friendships are at the heart of John Burns’s classes. In Basketball Camp, students practiced the essential basketball skills with their fellow teammates. Action Sports offered a wide variety of outdoor activities like capture the flag and soccer to help students build their flexibility, strength, and endurance. Together, both classes helped students form friendships through getting themselves moving.

Tennis FUNdamentals

On the court and taking a swing at trying a new sport!

Esther Hendershott and her team are helping students take the first steps into the world of tennis through learning the basics.  Through the five weeks of PEF Summer Enrichment, students worked on their footwork, grip, serves, and other key skills to become competitive tennis players. Balancing out the technical skills they’ve developed, students learned about healthy habits like well-rounded nutrition and fun stretches in order to keep up and have fun with the game.
