No Boundaries 2026: A Reception Celebrating the Creative Students of PUSD

An evening celebrating creativity, connection, and the arts in our schools brought the Pasadena Unified No Boundaries gallery to life in a new way. PEF hosted a special reception at the gallery, bringing together donors, board members, teachers, and community members who uplift and champion the arts in our schools to celebrate the work on display. It was an opportunity to connect more closely with the students and educators behind the work. It also highlighted the programs that make experiences like this possible.

Events like this are a reminder of what becomes possible when students are given the tools, the space, and the encouragement to make something they’re proud of creating. The support from our community reflects a strong belief in our students and schools and helps provide the funding needed to build and sustain these artistic environments.

Thank you to all who joined us and continue to support arts education in our schools.

Now in its 21st year, No Boundaries returned to Paseo Colorado for another showcase of the creativity and talent found in PUSD classrooms. The annual gallery brought together artwork from every school and program within PUSD, filling the space with sculpture, photography, mixed-media pieces, and more.

The exhibit highlighted just how much range exists across the district. Students at every grade level contributed work, and the breadth of mediums on display reflected the depth of arts programming that PUSD schools support year-round.

The gallery itself was a student achievement in more ways than one. Over the course of 12 weeks, students from Rose City High School participated in a residential program focused on professional gallery curation, transforming the Paseo space from a vacant storefront into a polished exhibit complete with fresh paint and temporary walls. The result was a gallery environment that gave every piece the presentation it deserved.

Several works received special recognition, with awards presented by the Armory Center for the Arts, the City of Pasadena, and other community partners. The awards celebrated standout pieces from among the dozens of works on display, honoring the students behind them and the teachers and programs that made their work possible.
