Held in Oceanport, New Jersey, Teachers Rock 4 Teachers was a phenomenal benefit concert with the goal of helping Pasadena Unified students, teachers, and staff. The concert itself was spearheaded by The Uncommon Core, a band made up of Rumson School District teachers. Seeing the devastation caused by the Eaton fire, The Uncommon Core wanted to focus their efforts on helping PUSD. From over 2,700 miles away, The Uncommon Core and their fans helped to raise $6,000 for our Eaton Fire Response Fund.

Teachers Rock 4 Teachers Concert
Teachers Rock 4 Teachers was held at Birdsmouth Beer, a local beer brand known for supporting their community. Birdsmouth Beer provided the venue as well as staff and prizes for the end of event raffle. Some of the other sponsors included Oceansport Paddle Club, Baseline Social, and The Sauce Pizzeria.
The family-friendly event was held February 28th and was attended by residents from both New Jersey and New York. In addition to The Uncommon Core, the band lineup consisted of five other musical acts who volunteered their talents towards supporting the cause. Performers included: Dakota Diehl and JD Leidersdorf Duo, Gina Teschke, Scott Elk and John Bauso Duo, John Walsh, and Blackwells Mill. Audience members were able to experience a night of good tunes, food, and drink as they donated to support. Some community members who donated even wrote notes along with their contributions, such as the ones below.

Proceeds from ticket sales went towards PEF’s Eaton Fire Response Fund, and eventgoers had an opportunity to participate in the raffle. Attendees who donated received raffle tickets, and additional tickets could be purchased. The prizes for this end of event raffle were various gift baskets, all themed around Los Angeles.
