PEF Partners with Instacart To Support PUSD Schools’ Fire Recovery

Pasadena Educational Foundation and Pasadena Unified School District have partnered with Instacart to support schools affected by the Eaton Fire through the “Classroom Carts” initiative. This innovative program allows anyone in the U.S. to donate essential supplies directly to impacted schools via the Instacart App or by visiting instacart.com/donate.

The Eaton Fire has significantly impacted our community, causing extensive damage to schools and disrupting the lives of thousands. Instacart’s initiative is crucial in helping schools restock vital supplies. The Instacart Board of Directors has also contributed $1 million to support this effort, benefiting the Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation, the Pasadena Educational Foundation, and the LAUSD Foundation.

Patrick Conyers, Executive Director of Pasadena Educational Foundation, emphasized the importance of this partnership: “Initiatives like Instacart’s Classroom Carts help ensure that our teachers and staff have the specific resources they need to continue providing quality education.”
