We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the remarkable group of over 100 high school and college students who enthusiastically joined us this summer in support of our 2023 Summer Enrichment Program.
Together they collectively served thousands of hours of volunteer time in support of public education. Their commitment and generosity have truly made a profound impact on our program. Our Youth Leaders and Interns exhibited exceptional care, initiative, and support towards their fellow volunteers, our students, and staff members. And we hope they had a great time, too!
We hope to welcome many of these exceptional students back next year. However, to those who will be pursuing new endeavors, we extend our best wishes for their future undertakings. The professional skills they acquired during their service will undoubtedly equip them to become engaged community members.
We would like to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of our 2023 Youth Leader & Intern Award Recipients, as chosen by the teachers and staff at each school site. However, it is important to note that all participants were exceptional and we congratulate every one of them for their service.
Awards of Distinction were given to those who conducted themselves with professionalism at all times and demonstrated a level of service that exceeded the expectations of teachers and staff. These Youth Leaders and Interns were integral to the success of classroom lessons and program goals.

Dedication to Service Awards were given to those volunteers who have served in our Summer Enrichment Program for two or more years. They have exhibited a strong commitment to serving their community – going well beyond meeting high school and college requirements while setting a high standard for positive, sustained community engagement.
