District 7 Councilmember Jason Lyon was born in Kentucky, reared in North Carolina, and has lived in Southern California for 25 years (13 of them in Pasadena). Jason was elected to represent Pasadena’s City Council District 7 in 2022. The district is home to many beloved institutions, including the Pasadena Playhouse, Caltech, Pasadena City College, the Bernard J. Tyson Kaiser School of Medicine, and of course Hamilton Elementary, McKinley School, and Blair International Baccalaureate School. Jason proudly attended public schools from kindergarten through law school.
When he is not serving the city, Jason is an attorney practicing business litigation. He represents shareholders in family business and limited partnership disputes. He is a partner at Pasadena’s historic Hahn & Hahn law firm. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Jason produced documentary feature films and television commercials.
Jason is married to Tim, who juggles two careers as a residential real estate agent and an Episcopal priest. They have two sons, Noah, who is 18, and Wyatt, who is 10.
