Dr. Ja Ne’t Rommero is a seasoned academic leader and psychologist with a strong foundation in clinical practice and higher education. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and completed her M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Rommero has served in diverse settings, including community mental health, forensic psychology, and private practice. She has held part-time lecturer roles across Southern California and contributed as a guest speaker and panelist on topics such as parenting, relationships, and mental health.
In her role as Associate Vice President of Academic Effectiveness, Dr. Rommero leads strategic initiatives focused on institutional improvement, student success, and equity. Previously, she served as Program Director of General Education and the Center for Excellence at Pacific Oaks College, where she championed transformative learning experiences.
Her professional interests include adolescent development, family dynamics, and bridging generational gaps, particularly between fathers and children, through a lens of social justice and equity. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, gardening, reading, and film. She is also an avid swimmer
