After serving for 17 years in the District 5 Council office of Victor M. Gordo, Vannia de la Cuba followed him to the mayor’s office when he was elected mayor in November 2020. As Deputy to the Mayor, her duties are citywide and regional. She provides assistance and support to the Mayor and Mayor’s Office on a wide range of operational and policy matters. She serves as the Mayor’s liaison to City departments and divisions and represents the Mayor and Mayor’s Office with community partners and local and state elected officials, industry
representatives, City employees, and the public.
