Johnson Family Legacy Scholarships
The Johnson Family Legacy Scholarships were established to:
- Honor the foundation of faith, passion, community pride, and tradition planted within the spirit of the Johnson family for Northwest Pasadena in general, and John Muir High School specifically;
- Recognize each selected student for their academic achievements, development of character, as well as their desire to continue their educational journey;
- Assist each selected student by providing financial support to help meet educational expense as they continue their journey
Public/Community Service
A $500 Scholarship in the memory of the Lives and Legacies of Edward H. & Barbara V. Johnson is given to a graduating senior attending a 2- or 4-year college/university, with a desire to focus on public/community service.
Education / Teaching
A $500 Scholarship in the memory of the Life and Legacy of Jennifer A. (Johnson) Townsend is given to a graduating senior attending a 2- or 4-year college/university, with a desire to focus on education/teaching.
Athletics
A $500 Scholarship in the memory of the Lives and Legacies of The Brothers Johnson (Jim, John, and Jeff) is given to a graduating senior attending a 2- or 4-year college/university, who is a current athlete at John Muir High School.
Business / Entrepreneurship
A $500 Scholarship is given to a graduating senior attending a 2- or 4-year college/university, with a desire to focus on business/entrepreneurship.
Social Justice
A $500 Rainbow Scholarship in the memory of the Lives and Legacies of Jim & Bobbie Spangler is given to a graduating senior attending a 2- or 4-year college/university, with a desire to focus on issues of social justice (inclusion and diversity).
Leadership
A $500 Scholarship in the memory of the Life and Legacy of the Honorable Loretta Thompson-Glackman is given to a graduating senior attending a 2- or 4-year college/university, who embodies the spirit of leadership.
