“I saw the fair as a SUPER eye-opening experience and great to see all my future options in one place”

Finding the right college is an exciting, but sometimes challenging task for graduating high schoolers. Many factors, such as tuition, credit transfers, and degree paths, can overwhelm students. To alleviate this stress and offer a networking opportunity, PUSD hosted its 2025 College and Career Fair. PEF welcomed students with tote bags to help them organize the information and flyers from colleges.
Attended by many students from the local community, this free event was held at the Pasadena Convention Center. Students and their families were greeted by a wide variety of colleges. Representatives from many post-secondary establishments were present, including California colleges, trade schools, the US military, out-of-state colleges, and international colleges. Students and their families were able to explore the different displays, talk one-on-one with representatives, and discover new colleges that they may not have been aware of.
The fair was an incredibly informative night with students saying they deeply appreciated the chance to explore their options for post-secondary education. Some students hadn’t even considered applying to international colleges or trade schools and were excited to look into these new paths that they could take after high school. Other students used the chance to talk with representatives from their dream colleges and came out of the event more certain in their choices. With a little bit of everything for all who attended, the 2025 PUSD College and Career Fair was a valuable tool for students feeling both the excitement and the stress of college applications.
