Kicking Off Winter with Warmth: Warner Bros. Discovery and Operation Warm Bring New Clothes to Madison Students

Through the Pasadena Educational Foundation’s partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, Madison students were gifted brand-new jackets and shoes through Operation Warm. The Madison auditorium was turned into a “store” where students had the opportunity to pick out their own jackets and shoes. Tables were set up with piles of colorful new coats. There was a sitting area for children to sit and try on their new shoes before making their decision. Like a mini shopping experience, the kids were personally led around the different stations by volunteers to help make sure that everything fit nicely. As a special surprise, Warner Bros. Discovery also gifted the Madison students with Superman drawstring bags.

“We’re thrilled to be here, the kids are terrific and they’re having a lot of fun picking things out.”

– Denise Drew, Warner Bros. Discovery, Employee and Volunteer

For this year’s Impact Day, Warner Bros. Discovery was excited to collaborate with Operation Warm as a key nonprofit partner. Warner Bros. Discovery’s Impact Day is a day where employees worldwide volunteer with local causes, dedicating their time to positive social change. As a nonprofit that has worked with many communities across the United States, Operation Warm is no stranger to positive social change. With its motto of ‘more than a coat’, Operation Warm seeks to provide children in need with both physical and emotional warmth through the donation of these valuable clothing resources.

“Our mission is really just to provide these kids with warmth, confidence, and hope through warm clothes and shoes.”

– Kacie Lynch, Operation Warm

Thanks to the wonderful volunteers from Warner Bros. Discovery and the hard work of Operation Warm, Madison Elementary’s students will walk into this winter season not only looking cool but also feeling great.
