Training America’s Next Generation of AI Leaders

The Pasadena Educational Foundation, Caltech, and JPL teamed up with the Mark Cuban Foundation to host a free, 4-week Artificial Intelligence Bootcamp for Pasadena Unified high school students. Program was held at the Caltech campus and featured special guest speakers and lab exercises conducted by JPL mentors: Valentino Constantinou, Chris Mattmann, and Kai Pak. No prior coding experience was required.

Students received hands-on learning experiences in:

  • Computer Vision
  • Natural Language Processing Chatbots
  • Machine Learning
  • And more…

The program aims to increase AI literacy and understanding for students from traditionally underserved populations including students of color, women, and those receiving free and reduced lunch.
