Thank you to California Credit Union and Kaiser Foundation for joining with PEF to make the start of the school year brighter for PUSD teachers and staff by sponsoring this year’s PUSD All Staff Welcome Back event. The theme of this year’s event was wellness and the social-emotional reintegration of staff and students.
With the generous support of our signature sponsor, California Credit Union, we were able to help promote health and well-being by giving every teacher and staff special water bottles. In addition, PUSD staff received face cloths, hand sanitizers, yoga mats, and gift cards.

The kickoff event and awards ceremony featured a keynote address on social-emotional wellness by PEF Board Member, Dr. Niki Elliott, Director of the Center for Neurodiversity, Learning, and Wellness in the LaFetra College of Education at the University of La Verne and founder of the Mindful Leaders Project. Dr. Elliot provides training in wellness and social-emotional learning for educators, helping professionals, and parents.
