Born in Pasadena, I attended Cleveland Elementary, Washington Junior High and Pasadena High School. I attended U.C. Santa Barbara on both academic and athletic scholarships. I worked for the University of California, Community College and California State University systems in Financial Aid for thirty years and spent the last eight years as a Consultant in Financial Aid until I retired. My school experiences became my catalyst as a Community Developer; working with others to improve the neighborhoods and lives of the people who reside there. I received the Dorothy Richardson Resident
Leadership Award from Neighbor Works America.
