Whole Foods 5% Community Giving Day
Great to see everyone out supporting our PUSD Teachers.
Check out these
photos from the day!
Thank you for helping our Pasadena Unified teachers by shopping at Whole Foods in Pasadena on Thursday, March 13!
It was a great day! The community came out to both Whole Foods Pasadena locations and shopped for the day, stocked up for the week, or simply got dinner for the night.
Whole Food is donating 5% of the entire days sales to the Pasadena Educational Foundation to support our PEF Teacher Grants program.
These grants help our PUSD teachers bring creativity, innovation, and inspiration into their classrooms by providing, directly to the teachers, the vital funds needed to purchase materials and resources that help them continue to accomplish their amazing work.
Whether it be through the arts, music, health centers, gardens, or STEM programs we support, PEF is dedicated to creating a better future for our students and for our community.
Kids’ Scavenger Hunt
3pm-5pm: Calling all kids! Join us for a fun scavenger hunt around the store to gather an assortment of goodies while learning about healthy eating.
About PEF Teacher Grants
DNA kits, sheet music, and California native plants for an outdoor classroom are just a few of the supplies that this year's PEF Teacher Grants purchased to support a diverse and vibrant selection of educational projects.
The Pasadena Educational Foundation has been awarding teachers in PUSD grants to help fund classroom supplies and instructional materials for more than 40 years.
The goal of the PEF Teacher Grant Program is to encourage the development of educational activities to improve and enhance student achievement. Grant projects must be student centered, related to the curriculum, and must demonstrate how they will directly benefit students and enhance and improve student achievement.
