The PEF Summer Enrichment Program mixes academic subjects with hands-on exploration to help prepare students for the upcoming year. The program serves incoming PreK-12th grade students. Incoming pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade students are offered a self-contained class that runs all three blocks. Incoming students to grades 2-8 have three blocks of engaging, fun-filled classes. High school students can choose one session, or may serve as a Youth Leader volunteer in our K-8th grade classes. Residence in the district or attendance at a PUSD school is not required. Class sizes are limited to 20 students. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.

YWCA Glendale and Pasadena 8am – 5:30pm Jomie Liu, Program Manager jomieliu@ywcagp.org Camp Rosie is a week-long summer camp designed to empower and educate girls and those who identify with female development entering grades 6th-9th in Glendale, Pasadena, Burbank, and surrounding school districts. Workshops and activities will focus on STEAM education, arts and culture, life skills and healthy relationships, and leadership and civic engagement. By promoting assertive self-expression, teaching important life skills, and fostering the practice of leadership in a variety of settings, this unique and transformational pre-high school summer program inspires girls to reach their full potential. Every girl will receive a supply package to support their camp activities. Girls who complete their one-week session will receive a $50 gift card.

This year, in the YW Strive for Teens workshop series, girls will prepare for the future and deepen their leadership and digital skills, tools for success, and financial literacy through activities that value identity and diversity. The workshops will include diverse women guest speakers, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, career exploration, and connections to higher education. Campers that complete YW Strive will be awarded a Certificate of Completion in recognition of their pathways to success.
